1. Introduction

These terms apply when you use my website (samburgess.uk), book my services, or join my Substack. By using my services, you agree to these terms.

2. My Services

Clarity Sprint

  • 90-minute strategy session via video call

  • Includes pre-session research and comprehensive follow-up plan

  • One-time service, no ongoing commitment

Start & Sustain Mentorship

  • 6-week or 3-month mentorship programme

  • Includes scheduled calls, resources, and email support

  • Requires completion of discovery call and signed agreement

Expansion Mentorship

  • 3-month or 6-month mentorship programme

  • Includes scheduled calls, strategy development, and ongoing support

  • Requires completion of discovery call and signed agreement

Strategy with Soul Substack Subscription

  • Monthly or annual subscription

  • Includes weekly emails and selected ad-hoc benefits such as discounts on 1:1 services

  • Hosted on Substack platform

3. Booking and Payment

Booking:

  • All sessions must be booked through my scheduling system

  • You'll receive confirmation and access details after booking

  • Complete any required forms before our session

Payment:

  • Payment is due at time of booking unless otherwise agreed

  • All prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable

  • Payments processed securely through Stripe

Late Payments:

  • Overdue accounts may result in service suspension

  • Additional fees may apply for payment recovery

4. Cancellations and Refunds

Clarity Sprint:

  • Reschedule up to 48 hours before your session at no charge

  • Less than 48 hours notice or no-shows: no refunds or rescheduling

  • No refunds available (research and preparation begins immediately after booking

Mentorship Programmes:

  • Detailed cancellation terms in your signed agreement

  • Generally, refunds less deposit available before programme starts

  • No refunds once programme has begun

Substacj:

  • Monthly: Cancel anytime, billing stops next cycle

  • Annual: Non-refundable but you retain access for full year

  • Cancel through your Substack account

5. Your Responsibilities

During Sessions:

  • Show up on time and prepared

  • Complete any required pre-work or forms

  • Participate honestly and constructively

  • Respect confidentiality of other participants (if applicable)

Payment:

  • Pay all fees when due

  • Keep your payment information current

  • Notify me of any billing issues promptly

Behaviour:

  • Treat me and my team with respect

  • No harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behaviour

  • Follow reasonable instructions and guidance

6. My Responsibilities and Limitations

What I Provide:

  • Professional business mentoring and strategy guidance

  • Sessions as described in your agreement

  • Resources and materials as specified

What I Don't Guarantee:

  • Specific business results or income levels

  • That my advice will work for your situation

  • Availability outside agreed session times

  • Technical support for third-party platforms

Important Limitations:

  • I provide business guidance, not financial, legal, or medical advice

  • You're responsible for implementing advice and any consequences

  • Results depend on your effort, market conditions, and factors outside my control

7. Intellectual Property

My Content:

  • All frameworks, materials, and content I create remain my property

  • You can use materials for your own business but not redistribute

  • Don't copy or replicate my programmes or materials

Your Information:

  • You retain rights to your business information and ideas

  • I may use anonymised examples in future teaching (with permission)

  • Testimonials and case studies require your explicit consent

8. Confidentiality

I Will Keep Confidential:

  • Your business information and strategies

  • Personal details shared in sessions

  • Financial information and sensitive data

Exceptions:

  • Information you explicitly agree to share publicly

  • Legal requirements to disclose information

  • General business insights (anonymised and non-identifiable)

9. Technical Issues

Website and Booking:

  • I'm not responsible for technical problems with third-party platforms

  • System downtime may occasionally affect booking or access

  • Contact me if you experience persistent issues

Video Calls:

  • We'll use Zoom, Google Meet, or similar platforms

  • Have backup communication method ready

  • Technical problems on your end don't extend session time

10. Liability Limitations

What I'm Responsible For:

  • Providing services as described

  • Maintaining reasonable professional standards

  • Protecting your personal information

What I'm Not Responsible For:

  • Business results or financial outcomes

  • Decisions you make based on my guidance

  • Technical issues with third-party platforms

  • Force majeure events (illness, natural disasters, etc.)

Maximum Liability:

  • Limited to the amount you paid for the specific service

  • No liability for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages

11. Membership Terms

Strategy with Soul Subscription:

  • Hosted on Substack platform (subject to their terms)

  • Content delivered weekly or thereabouts

  • Access to archive of articles

  • Prices may increase with reasonable notice to existing members

Conduct:

  • Use materials and content for personal/business use only

  • Don't share login details or redistribute content

  • Engage respectfully with any community features

12. Privacy and Data

Your personal information is handled according to my Privacy Policy, which explains:

  • What information I collect and why

  • How I protect and use your data

  • Your rights regarding your information

13. Changes to Services or Terms

Service Changes:

  • I may update services, pricing, or availability

  • Existing clients continue under original terms

  • Significant changes communicated in advance

Terms Changes:

  • I may update these terms occasionally

  • Changes posted on my website with new date

  • Continued use means you accept updated terms

14. Termination

I May End Our Relationship If:

  • You don't pay fees when due

  • You violate these terms or behave inappropriately

  • You provide false information

  • Circumstances make it impossible to continue

You May End Our Relationship:

  • According to cancellation terms above

  • By not renewing subscriptions or booking new services

After Termination:

  • Outstanding fees remain due

  • Confidentiality obligations continue

  • You retain materials already provided

15. Disputes and Legal Stuff

Governing Law:

  • These terms are governed by English law

  • UK courts have jurisdiction over disputes

Dispute Resolution:

  • Contact me directly first to resolve issues

  • Most problems can be sorted out with honest conversation

  • Formal mediation before legal action if needed

Severability:

  • If any part of these terms is invalid, the rest remains in effect
